10 Days to Go.
over 7 years ago – Sat, Aug 05, 2017 at 07:44:53 PM

Hello dear backers. We have 10 days to go and we are at 57%. Maybe a tough goal but not impossible at all. I'm still sharing and promoting. If you are able to share with your friends who you think might be interested as well that would be great. Together we can make this deck happen! I appreciate your support.

Half Way Home.

Well we made it to the half way mark! Thank you all for your support.

We've gotten some excellent coverage from Erica at Willow and Thatch, as well as from Catherine Curzon at A Covent Garden Gilflurt's Guide to Life. I am tremendously hopeful and excited.

You'll notice the banners are different on these cards as these were from an early iteration.

This evening, Erica from Willow and Thatch made a terrific post on her web site about the Jane Austen Playing Cards. You should take a look, and check out her site while you are at it. Lots of great stuff to see! I am greatly appreciative.

We have a way to go, but I am feeling confident that we will make the funding goal and we will all have a deck or cards (or more) in hand by late October!

If you haven't already shared this site with your friends, I encourage you to do so.

Thanks Erica!

Working with BackerKit!
over 7 years ago – Thu, Jul 27, 2017 at 08:29:15 PM

I pleased to announce that I'll be working with BackerKit to bring you the Add-Ons so many of you have asked about. Kickstarter does not support Add-Ons but, when the campaign is successful, working with BackerKit will allow you to add the items you'd like to have but could not find a Reward level for.

I think this is great news. Thanks, BackerKit!

United States Postage Concerns Addressed
over 7 years ago – Thu, Jul 27, 2017 at 08:12:24 PM

Dear Backers,

First let me say how much I appreciate your support and kind words. I am so excited about this campaign and I hope that we reach funding so we can see the cards in print.

Today at work, a colleague showed me the pricing for United States shipping. I was surprised and dismayed. When I created the campaign, I set up US shipping and the Rest of the World shipping. I do not know if it was a system error or my own, but many of the Backer levels ultimately showed only one shipping price: International—and that is much too high for US. shipping. Unfortunately, as the creator of the campaign I couldn't click on the reward levels to check the details once the site was published. (In theory, this keeps a backer from pledging money so his or her project funds, but it also kept me from being able to proofread the final product!)

Since I am not trying to gouge my backers, I have created new Reward levels for many of the original rewards that had incorrect US shipping. If you backed one of the  Rewards below, please go back to the page and change your Reward to one marked for U.S. Shipping. You'll get the lower shipping rate as a result. And I'll feel better having done the right thing by you.

I also hope you'll consider sharing this with your friends and peers who might also like these cards but who may have balked at the shipping price!

Many thanks, again.

Eric
